It's been absolute ages since I've participated in the Book Blogger Hop. I think I had blog hop fatigue for a while and have to admit that while I discovered some new great blogs, I got really overwhelmed with there being so many!
But I re-read the post and number 3 about the hop reminded me why I loved the hop in the first place:
Visit other blogs in the list, spending quality time getting to know the people you are visiting. Don’t just visit the post with the question, but click around and read some of the blogger’s other content, too! This Hop isn’t about the number of people you can visit, but the quality of each visit. It's easy to get caught up in the numbers game, isn't it?
So, on to this week's question:
What is one thing that your blog readers probably do not know about you?
I hate spilling really personal details, so I'll let you in on my choice of music. I like world music. I like music with lyrics I don't understand. I enjoy music played with traditional and obscure instruments. Here are a few favourites:
Ooh that's pretty neat. I really like Ojos de Brujo. I need to check out more of this group. Thank you for sharing!

off to visit! thanks for popping over, michelle!
DeleteI play piano at my Church and I recently attended a Church musicians' convention where lots and lots of music was exchanged. I really liked your video clips. I especially liked the guitar on the 2nd one - I'm partial to guitar because my husband plays. Sharing those clips was a wonderful idea. I've always wanted to incorporate more world music into our worship services because I think it makes people connect with those in other parts of the globe. Thanks again!
ReplyDeletereally stripped down - the guitar and her voice! i dont understand a word but then do we really need to?
Deleteit's wonderful you're incorporating more into worship services, it should keep things very interesting!
Nice music! I really like the second video, even if it's the only one I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit Hellen! We'l have to work on our Hindi (I'm not actually sure :))
DeleteHi Aloi,
ReplyDeleteI too, have quite eclectic tastes in music, depending on what mood I am in.
I checked out your clips and I particularly like the music of Susheela Raman. I was surprised to discover, when I checked out her website, that she is living in London, so she is someone I will definitely be trying to get to see in concert, at some time.
Thanks for sharing,
Yvonne
That's wonderful! Susheela Raman performing live would be quite the experience - I've seen a few of her live concerts online and she is amazing!
