Friday 56 & #BookBeginnings: A Work in Progress

A Work in Progress by Brad Cotton Paperback | Kindle Edition

For Book Beginnings:
My name is Danny Bayle, I'm twenty-eight years old, and it's been four years since I completed my last novel—a novel that earned a unanimous reception from critics in that none of them bothered to read it.
- p. 1

For The Friday 56:
Everyone in this group is dealing with unique issues in their lives, so we don't try to offer solutions. That's very important to remember.
- p. 56
Synopsis: Writer Danny Bayle’s life is in shambles. His true love has left him and his grandfather — the last and most important influence in his life—has just passed away. Danny has spent the last few months languishing, unable to write a single word, but at the urging of a friend ventures out into the world in an attempt to jumpstart a new life, befriending in the process an interesting assortment of characters including an author, a musician, an artist, and an elderly retired nurse. Garnering the attention of more than one woman, Danny sees his new friends unwittingly begin to shape what could just be the story of his life. But will he ever let go of the girl that got away?
Freda's Voice actually featured this one last week! But I have Brad Cotton with a guest post (funny :)) and giveaway (open international) of this happening right now.

I know you want to check it out RIGHT NOW.
