Another Nobel Prize-winning author that I had to share with you is Portuguese author José Saramago. I have read a number of his books and am always blown away by his ability to present hard-to-face truths in allegorical or alternate history formats. His books never cease to surprise, enlighten, and provoke me. No wonder that there are many fans who pay homage through their artwork. Here are some of my faves:
