A library made from bookshelves!

  • Saturday, July 02, 2011

Don't you just love libraries? And if they are interesting libraries, all the better. I love floor to ceiling shelves, but seriously ... wow! Take a look at these shots and don't tell me that your aren't a little envious of those lucky guys in Tokyo, Japan where this library is found. It's a "double-storey library of 6,500㎡ in floor area. It is a library made from bookshelves."

This is the Musashino Art University Museum Library. I don't think I'd get much studying done.

More amazing shots after the jump!

Shelves shelves shelves everywhere.
I wonder when they'll fill each of those shelves?
The concept -- a spiral of floor to ceiling books, books, books! Amazing!

  2. That looks amazing. I think I'd spend a good amount of time dreaming how I'd fill all those bookshelves up!
