A little late on this one. Here we go ... ! Time to answer some questions and go book blog hopping! TGIF! Three fun memes after the jump!
Meme 1: The Friday 56
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56.
*Find any sentence that grabs you. (I cheat sometimes and put a little more than a sentence!)
*Post it.
I've turned to some of my comfort reads and have Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Of Love and Other Demons:
"He loved it as if it were a human being," the Marquis interceded.
"It was an affront to our faith, Senor Marquis," said Delaura. "Hundred-year-old horses are not the work of God."

Meme 2: Follow Friday
Follow Friday time! Do a little blog hopping but be sure to check out this week's featured blogger Molli at Once Upon a Prologue! And don't forget to try your luck and you could win an ARC of Half Blood by Jennifer Armentrout.
If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?
Hmmmm.... these questions are getting tougher and tougher! Who comes up with these? :)
So I maybe copping out on this one. The books that I have come to unexpectedly love are those which are so unpredictable! Yes, it's annoying at the time of the reading but once I ruminate a bit more, it often makes the unpredictable much more acceptable. Short answer: I wouldn't change a thing!
Take for example:
- Skellig - weirded me out in the beginning, loved it in the end
- Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel - where is this going? oh ... wow!
- The Blind Assassin - noooooooo!!!!
- The Inheritance of Loss - heartbreaking, depressing ... should I put this down? No, I CAN'T!
As for the ho-hum books (like this or this), let's just leave them be. A changed ending probably won't save it anyway.

And on to Book Blogger Hop!
Q: What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation? (If your next season is other than fall/autumn, tell us about it and what you are most looking forward to in your part of the world!)”
Thank goodness, that's an easy one. I look forward to some cooler weather. The summer has been a blistering one for the most part. And what freaky weather we're having around the world.
Happy weekend all!
