TGIF! Of happiness and Friday 56!

  • Thursday, September 15, 2011

I was feeling slightly overwhelmed with so many Friday memes so I am paring down this week.

For Friday 56:
Grab a book, any book.
Turn to page 56.
Find any sentence that grabs you. (I cheat sometimes and put a little more than a sentence!)
Post it.
Add your (url) post in Freda's Voice Linky.

I picked up this book for $1 at a yard sale (yes, yard sales are my thing lately - there are so many with all this last minute fall cleaning).

The Happiness Project Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean my Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle and Generally Have More Fun by Gretchen Rubin -- with a title like that, how could I pass up it up?

When I think about it, this blog is part of my Happiness Project. I just didn't realize I had a project ongoing. I'm reading this right now and really feeling the need for some introspection.

I hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

  2. I loved that book! For awhile afterwards, I even tried to show the principles in my blogging. Maybe I still do and I'm not aware of it...but Happiness is definitely something we can create for ourselves.

Thanks for reminding me of this book.
