Book Blogger Hop

It's been getting colder ... I'm even a little cold typing this up! I've decided to hop back on the Book Blogger Hop which is currently being hosted by Knitting and Sundries. (I am a crocheter but knitting stumps me!)

This week's question is:

How did you find out about book blogging and what made you decide to start one yourself?

Many of you probably associate me with this book and reading blog ... but I actually started out as a food blogger! Our family was getting bored with our usual fare and we were dipping into other cuisines just to kick ourselves out of the food rut. If you're curious, my food blog is here.

I started book blogging because I needed a way to jumpstart my so-called "revived" reading life. I started just to keep a log of what I thought about the books I read, nothing more. I started looking around and lo and behold, so many fellow book lovers! That really inspired me and I just went ahead and set up my own blog on a lark. So off I went. I started then stopped, then restarted, and now I blog without obligation. I continue to read and blog about my reads and whatever bookish strikes my fancy.

How about you? I'm going a-hoping now :)
