Paperback | Kindle Edition
Everyone needs a good laugh once in a while and I admit I had a bit of a fit when I saw the cover of So Much Time, So Little Change by Thomas Sullivan. I mean look at it! (*grin). So without further ado ...

10 Things You Didn’t Know about So Much Time, So Little Change
by Thomas Sullivan

  1. The picture on the cover is not a portrait of the author.
  2. If your childhood station wagon had a back-facing seat, and you always got tapped to be the one riding in it, you will be able to relate to this book.
  3. Ditto if you don’t know how to fix up a house, but try anyway. And then laugh at the results.
  4. It is published by a socially-conscious publisher who does great things for kids.
  5. The book is intended to amuse, surprise, and entertain.
  6. If you were the bored kid who carved his name into a church pew in Norwich, Connecticut, your handiwork is part of one of the essays.
  7. The author once taught driver education. And survived.
  8. It includes some unique ways to market a book. But the author doesn’t recommend you try them.
  9. The author lives in Seattle and used to be a teacher. See #7.
  10. It is ridiculous. In a good way.
About Thomas Sullivan

Thomas Sullivan lives in Seattle and became long term unemployed well before it was widely popular. His writing has appeared in Word Riot, 3AM Magazine, Dogmatika, and The Externalist, among others.

Thomas is a long time teacher well acquainted with the murky and lightly regulated world of private vocational education. Following graduation from Washington State University he worked as an instructor for a company in Seattle teaching software to adults in retraining. This company blew apart fabulously following a Mommie Dearest style standoff between the mother/daughter ownership team. Thomas’s next educational company was shut down following a federal investigation into student loan fraud and a class action lawsuit by former students and teachers.

Synopsis: Life is full of strange and awkward events seemingly designed to annoy us. To Thomas Sullivan, these trials and tribulations are actually meant to entertain us. Within these pages you’ll encounter a guy who finds humor in:
  • Searching for a cozy, old-school barber in a gentrifying neighborhood, but landing at a frantic corporate salon that smells like a meth lab.
  • Running late for a flight, only to find himself on The Terrorist Watch List.
  • Watching The Peoples Court with a stranger in the world’s gloomiest bar.
  • Surviving condemnation from the hard-working folks at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Fixing up a house when he knows nothing about home improvement.
  • And much, much more wonderful absurdity.
