#NonFictionNovember: Book pairing! #NonFicNov

It's the second week into Nonfiction November and I am loving this week's question about book pairings.

Week 2: (Nov. 9 to 13) – (Leslie) Book Pairing: This week, pair up a nonfiction book with a fiction title. It can be a “If you loved this book, read this!” or just two titles that you think would go well together. Maybe it’s a historical novel and you’d like to get the real history by reading a nonfiction version of the story.

Look what I have! Two books featuring ... wait for it ... wait for it ... RATS!

Disturbingly fascinating. Get your rat facts straight with Rats by Robert Sullivan ...

Then grab Coraline by Neil Gaiman and you'll see that rats play a major role in this morbidly dark children's book. I vividly remember the rat circus in Neil Gaiman's Coraline and here's a clip on Youtube that just highlights how wonderfully Gaiman drags in rat lore into his story.

Nonfiction November is hosted by Kim at Sophisticated Dorkiness, Becca at I’m Lost in Books, Leslie at Regular Ruminations, and Katie at Doing Dewey. Check out the schedule.
