TGIF ... Book blogger hop and Follow Friday!

Book Blogger HopFriday kind of hit me with a surprise. Where did my week go?

But it's time to party again through the Book Blogger Hop, where over 200 book bloggers visit, revisit and discover and rediscover the wonderful world of book and reading bloggers! If you're reading this, consider joining in!

And another interesting question to answer:

“When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”

Hmmm ... that's kind of asking "When did you realize you were a girl?" I don't think there ever was an "a-ha" moment for me. I've been reading since I could, well ... read! I know it like I know I'm female. Haha! What about you?

Now on to Follow Friday, which features Mickey, a self-professed Book Shark. She's almost at the halfway mark of her 200 books/year goal and like me, is an eclectic reader.

Now another interesting question:

Q. In light of the Summer Solstice. Also known as Midsummer... let's talk about fairies. What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?
Honestly, the answer that popped to mind immediately was Lord of The Rings, but wait, those are elves, not fairies! So I'll have to say that one of my recent favourites is The Spiderwick Chronicles. My lil one and I loved the books and if you watched the movie, it totally captured the whimsy yet cruelty of these, and many more magical creatures!

Now off to blog hop! Have a great weekend!

  1. I agree with you, reading is just something that I've been doing ever since I knew how to read. It's not something that I realized I wanted to do (unlike being a nurse or a book blogger), it's just who I am :D

I haven't read The Spiderwick Chronicles yet but I have heard a lot of good things about it. Mine is Peter Pan. Have a great weekend!

Oh, and I'm your newest follower :D

  7. That's a really good analogy! I've been reading longer than I can remember. It seems like for everyone who has posted about this, their (our) parents were pretty good about having books available from a young age. Which is really quite lucky for most of us.
