Pottermore: Let your wand choose you!

I thought I might need to wait until Pottermore actually went live before I could get in. What's the point of being a beta tester then? But after all the drama and finally, finally becoming a beta tester (see here, here and here), I get the email that says ... yes, come on in.

Now what?

Finally ... got a beta account in Pottermore!

It's Day 3. Have you found the Magical Quill yet? I did not put the daughter up to it - she has been verrry keen on getting a beta invite since day 1 of the announcement. She figured out the time differences and woke up at 4 am (yes 4 am!) so she could register for a beta invite. 

And ... she finally got in! *happy dance* And being the smart girl I raised her to be, she registered herself, and me! 

I'm impatiently awaiting the welcome email. More after the jump!

We missed Day 1 of Pottermore! :(

It's July 31, THE day when Pottermore reveals how to get a beta invite. So upon waking up, the little one announces she needs to go online. Only to be greeted with this:

Day 1 down, 6 more chances. What time do we need to wake up to get in this freaking website? :)

Now something about having to find The Magical Quill.

More about Pottermore - more screenshots!

I admit it, I'm really looking forward to finding out more about Pottermore! So here's the latest from the Pottermore Twitter. Three more screenshots ready for the viewing. 

It's an interesting mix: 

• Requires reading online - seemingly of portions of the printed books, and some new content too
• There's  a "like" button and "save to favourites" option, it seems to have a Facebook-like interface and bookmarking abilities.

Pottermore! Yes we want more! What's in store for Harry Potter?

The owls are gathering ... If you're a Harry Potter fan, then you probably got wind of this mysterious website Pottermore. The interwebs is abuzz with speculation! Add to it JK Rowlings's announcement and here Twitter feed (if it's to be believed that this is the real JKRowling) which claims "This is the real me, but you won't be hearing from me often I'm afraid, as pen and paper are STILL my priority at the moment."


Potterhead daughter cannot contain excitement. Honestly, me neither!
